Individual Counselling

Support to move forward with the life you want to live

You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed or uncertain about what needs to change. You might be grieving a loss, experiencing relationship difficulties, moving through a life transition or wanting to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Individual counselling offers a supportive, non-judgemental space to understand what you’re experiencing, identify what matters to you and take meaningful steps forward.

How individual counselling can support you

Individual counselling may help with:

  • Anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed

  • Grief, loss and significant life changes

  • Self-esteem, confidence and self-belief

  • Relationship difficulties and healthier boundaries

  • Emotional regulation and recurring patterns

  • Feeling stuck or uncertain about your future

  • Personal growth and meaningful goals

  • Mental and emotional wellbeing

Relationship support for individuals

You can attend individual counselling for relationship concerns even if your partner doesn’t want to participate.

While you cannot control another person’s choices, you can gain a clearer understanding of your relationship patterns, strengthen your communication and boundaries, and make considered decisions about how you want to move forward. Changes in how you understand and respond to difficulties can still have a meaningful impact.

What happens in ongoing individual counselling sessions?

Each session is shaped around your needs. We may explore thoughts, emotions, experiences and patterns that are affecting your wellbeing, consider different perspectives and develop practical ways of responding.

I will walk alongside you throughout the process, supporting you as you build greater self-understanding and work towards meaningful change.

Will I have anything to work on between sessions?

Where helpful, I may offer practical strategies, exercises, worksheets or new practices tailored to your circumstances. These allow you to apply what we discuss and continue building change in your everyday life.

How long will I need counselling?

There is no set number of sessions because every person and situation is different. Some people attend for a shorter period to address a particular concern, while others benefit from more ongoing support.

Sessions are 50 minutes and may be scheduled weekly, fortnightly or at a frequency that suits your needs. We will review your progress together and discuss what continues to feel helpful.
